Membership Grades and Entrance and Annual Membership Fees
The following fees apply for 2007 and until further notice:
- Corporate: Entrance Fee - N$50; Annual Membership Fee - N$240.00
- Associate: Entrance Fee - N$25; Annual Membership Fee - N$180.00
- Student: Entrance Fee - N$10; Annual Membership Fee - N$50.00
- Retired: Entrance Fee - none; Annual Membership Fee - N$120.00
Description of Membership Grades
- Corporate Membership
- A Corporate member is one who is registered with the Engineering Council
of Namibia as a Professional Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or Engineering
Technician.
- Associate Membership
- An Associate Member is one who is registered with the Engineering
Council of Namibia as a Professional Engineer in training, or Incorporated
Engineer in training, or Engineering Technician in training, or any graduate
not registered with the Engineering Council of Namibia. Also persons who do
not qualify for registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia, but
who are involved in any other profession closely related or supportive to
the engineering profession, and who are engaged in work supportive of the
engineering profession, may be granted Associate membership.

Student Membership
- A Student member is one who is studying at any institution to become a
Professional Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or Engineering Technician, but
who is not yet registrable as an Associate member.
- Retired Membership
- A Retired Member is a Corporate or Associate Member of not less than 55
years of age, who has satisfied the EPA Council that he or she has effectively
ceased to practice the profession of engineering and that his or her service
to the profession has been such as in the opinion of the EPA Council
justifies submission to the grade. An appropriately motivated application
may be made to the EPA Council in writing.
